Biometric app lock

On iPhone, SharedAnchor can lock behind Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode so someone holding your phone cannot open your records.

Unlocking the app

When the app is locked, you see an Unlock screen. Choose Use Face ID (or Touch ID, depending on your iPhone) to unlock, or fall back to your device passcode.

When it asks you

The lock appears when you open the app after it has been in the background, so a quick glance keeps your expenses, payments, and calendar private.

If it does not recognize you

If Face ID or Touch ID does not recognize you, enter your device passcode instead. This is the same passcode you use to unlock the iPhone itself, and SharedAnchor never sees it.

Availability

The biometric app lock is available on the iPhone app. It is not offered on Android or on the web today.
