Managing your pairing
This page covers the connection between your account and the other parent you share records with, and what happens if you leave the pair. It explains where to find the connection screen, what it shows, and how to reconnect.
Where to find it
Open Settings and tap Co-parent connection. This screen is available in the iOS and Android apps.
What you can see
The screen shows who you are currently paired with and your connection status. The status reads Connected when you are both active, Pending when you have invited someone who has not accepted yet, and Solo when nobody is connected.
Leaving the pair
You can leave the pair from your account. Leaving is silent: the other parent is not notified that you left.
What happens to your shared records
Your shared history stays intact. SharedAnchor keeps records such as external payments and custody schedules as an append-only record, so leaving does not erase past entries. SharedAnchor never holds funds, so there is no balance to move or refund when you leave.
How to reconnect
To pair again, someone needs to send a new invite and the other person needs to accept it through a claim link. See the getting started guide for how invites and claim links work.
