Subscription and billing
This article explains what SharedAnchor costs, how to subscribe, and how to manage or cancel your plan. One Basic pair plan covers both co-parents. The price and billing provider depend on where the organizer subscribes.
What it costs
The Basic pair plan costs $7 per month when purchased on the SharedAnchor website through Stripe. It costs $8.99 per month when purchased in the iPhone app through Apple's In-App Purchase system. Either purchase covers both co-parents in the pair, so you do not each pay separately. The plan includes expense tracking, the full custody calendar with swap requests, PDF export and record history, and unlimited history.
Subscribe on the web
Open Subscription to see your current plan and whether it is active. Choose Upgrade to the pair plan to open Stripe's secure checkout and enter your payment details. The website subscription costs $7 per month.
Subscribe on iPhone
Open Subscription in the iPhone app and choose Subscribe. The iPhone subscription costs $8.99 per month and is billed to your Apple ID through Apple's In-App Purchase system. It renews automatically unless you cancel it through Apple. If a completed purchase is not reflected in SharedAnchor, choose Restore purchases. When the Apple subscription is active, choose Manage in the App Store to manage or cancel it. Inside the iPhone app, subscription actions remain in Apple's purchase and management flow, and the app does not link to website checkout.
Use SharedAnchor on Android
SharedAnchor does not sell a subscription through Google Play or start website checkout from the Android app. The Android subscription screen tells organizers to visit sharedanchor.com, where the Basic pair plan costs $7 per month. An existing subscription covers the pair across supported devices.
Manage or cancel
For a website subscription, open Subscription on the website and choose Manage plan to open the Stripe billing portal. There you can view payment history, update the card, and cancel the subscription. For an iPhone subscription, open Subscription in the iPhone app and choose Manage in the App Store, or manage it from Apple ID settings under Subscriptions. If you cancel, your access continues until the end of the period you already paid for, and the screen shows the date it will end. Apple handles refund requests for subscriptions purchased through the App Store.
The organizer, the parent who set up billing, is the one who manages the shared plan. If your co-parent set up the plan, your screen shows that billing is handled by them for the shared pair plan.
SharedAnchor never holds your money
Your subscription pays for the app; it is separate from any money you and your co-parent send each other. SharedAnchor does not hold user funds, and your expense and payment records stay separate from subscription billing.
States and recovery
While your subscription loads you see a brief loading spinner. If it cannot load, SharedAnchor shows "Could not load subscription." and your plan is not changed. If starting checkout or opening billing fails, SharedAnchor shows a short error and you can try the button again. On iPhone, use Restore purchases if Apple completed the purchase but SharedAnchor still does not show the active plan.
