Professional access

This article explains how to give an attorney or mediator a read-only view of your records and how to revoke that access. Professional access is managed on the web from the Professional access screen in Settings.

Invite a professional

Open Professional access and enter the email address of your attorney, mediator, or guardian-ad-litem. Choose Send invitation, and SharedAnchor emails them a secure link that is valid for seven days. You can have one active invitation at a time, and the person enters their own name when they accept.

What they can see

An invited professional gets a read-only view of your expenses, payments, and custody calendar, including the record proof used for court. They never see your co-parent's private notes or activity. After they accept, they also receive a secure key so they can ask questions about your records inside an AI tool such as Claude.

Check the status

The screen shows the current state of your invitation. While it is waiting to be accepted it shows "Invitation pending" with the date it was sent and when it expires. Once accepted, it shows the professional's name and an "Active" status with the date access was granted.

Revoke access

To end access, choose Revoke invitation for a pending invite or Revoke access for one that was accepted. A confirmation appears first, and revoking takes effect right away, including their connection inside any AI tool. You can invite the same person again, or invite someone else, whenever you are ready.

States and recovery

While the screen loads you see a brief loading spinner. If it cannot load, SharedAnchor shows "Could not load professional access. Please refresh." and nothing is changed. If sending or revoking fails, SharedAnchor shows a short error so you can try again.
