Connected apps

This article explains how to review the AI assistants that can read your SharedAnchor records and how to disconnect them. Connected apps are managed on the web from the Connected apps screen in Settings.

What connected apps are

Connected apps are AI assistants, such as Claude and ChatGPT, that you have authorized to read your records. Their access is read-only, and they can see your expenses, payments, and custody calendar but never your co-parent's private notes. Each app in the list shows when it was connected, so you can review and remove access at any time.

Connect an app

You connect an app from inside the assistant, not from this screen. In your AI tool, open its connector directory, search for SharedAnchor, and choose Connect, then sign in once to authorize read-only access. If SharedAnchor is not listed in your AI tool's connector directory yet, you can add it by hand using the connector address shown on the SharedAnchor developer and MCP documentation pages. After that, the app appears on your Connected apps screen.

Disconnect an app

To remove an app's access, choose Disconnect on that app's card. A confirmation appears first, and disconnecting takes effect right away. You can connect the app again later from your assistant's connector directory whenever you are ready.

States and recovery

While the list loads you see a brief loading spinner. If it cannot load, SharedAnchor shows "Could not load connected apps. Please refresh." and nothing is changed. When you have no connected apps, the screen shows "No connected apps yet" with a short note on how to connect one.
